The LMGT3 class for the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10–14 June 2026) boasts 25 cars. Nine makes compose the line-up: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Porsche, represented by the very best privateer teams. As usual, they’re ready to do battle. Let’s take a closer look at the class and its 13 teams.

<h2>What is an LMGT3?</h2>

The GT class of the FIA World Endurance Championship &ndash; including the 24 Hours of Le Mans &ndash; is based on the current FIA GT3 platform. As of 2024, GT3 cars replace those built according to GTE rules and regulations.&nbsp; 
Only recognised manufacturers with an annual production of over 2,500 road-legal vehicles are eligible to compete. The cars feature several adaptations specific to the FIA WEC and to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, such as luminescent number panels and leader lights.&nbsp;

This year, nine major brands are represented via private entries: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Porsche.&nbsp;

Driver line-ups must include at least one Bronze driver and one Bronze or Silver driver.

The two Corvette Z06 LMGT3.Rs fielded in the FIA World Endurance Championship this season are aiming for results at Le Mans. Watch as both the #33 TF Sport and the #34 of Racing Team Turkey by TF grapple for points. As winner of the 2025 European Le Mans Series, TF Sport was invited to compete at Le Mans, a proposition taken up by the #2 and its crew of talented, experienced drivers who know just how to exploit the potential of the powerful Corvette. Key members of Johor Motorsport Racing join TF to field this entry. 
The #33 lies in fourth place and the #34 in 13th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Garage 59</h2>

#10 &ndash; McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Antares Au / Thomas Fleming / Marvin Kirchh&ouml;fer 
#58 &ndash; McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Alexander West / Finn Gehrsitz / Benjamin Goethe

Garage 59 now represents McLaren in the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship, taking over from United Autosport who are busy developing the McLaren Hypercar. The McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo has already proved its worth and the British team are drawing on their vast experience of the Woking make in numerous championships to optimise its performance. The #10 didn&rsquo;t win the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps by chance. Garage 59 will be all out for a repeat result at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The #10 currently stands second and the #58 in eighth place in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>13 Autosport</h2>

#13 &ndash; Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R &ndash; Orey Fidani / Lars Kern / Matthew Bell

With this entry, there is a total of four Corvette Z06 LMGT3.Rs at Le Mans this year! 
13 Autosport is the new name of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship team formerly known as AWA Racing. They fielded a Corvette in last year&rsquo;s race with the same driver crew, finishing in tenth place in the LMGT3 class. As winner of the Bob Akin Award for the top-scoring full-season Bronze-rated driver in the IMSA GTD class, Orey Fidani was invited to compete at Le Mans.

<h2>Vista AF Corse</h2>

#21 &ndash; Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Fran&ccedil;ois Heriau / Simon Mann / Alessio Rovera 
#54 &ndash; Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Thomas Flohr / Francesco Castellacci / Davide Rigon

This year&rsquo;s Ferrari LMGT3 is different to last year&rsquo;s. Out with the 296 LMGT3, bring on the 296 LMGT3 Evo. The driver crews remain unchanged however, with Ferrari works driver Alessio Rovera sharing the #21 with Fran&ccedil;ois Heriau and Simon Mann. The trio finished the season in second place, a mere 14 points behind the leader, thanks, in part, to finishing second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and is therefore among the favourites to win on 14 June. Davide Rigon, also a Ferrari works driver, leads the crew of the #54 sister car.&nbsp; 
The #21 lies in fifth place and the #54 is 17th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Heart Of Racing Team</h2>

#23 &ndash; Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 &ndash; Gray Newell / Eduardo Barrichello / Jonny Adam 
#27 &ndash; Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 &ndash; Ian James / Zacharie Robichon / Mattia Drudi

Always a hot contender in LMGT3, the Aston Martin Vantage AMR has yet to triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last year the #27 started at the front, having clinched the class Hyperpole, but finished the race in fourth place behind Porsche, Ferrari and Corvette. The same car edged closer to victory at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, taking second. The American team are logically hoping to make the top step at the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans. 
Gray Newell and Jonny Adam (5 Le Mans starts) share the wheel of the #23 with Eduardo Barrichello, son of Formula One driver Ruben. Ian James, Zacharie Robichon and Mattia Drudi drive the #27. 
The #23 lies in 12th place and the #27 is 6th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Team WRT</h2>

#32 &ndash; BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Darren Leung / Sean Gelael / Augusto Farfus 
#69 &ndash; BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Anthony McIntosh / Parker Thompson / Daniel Harper

Team WRT won the 6 Hours of Imola, round 1 of the FIA WEC season, the #69 crossing the line ahead of TF Sport and The Bend Manthey. However, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was a different story. The #69 finished in 11th place and the #32 in 14th. Such variation makes it difficult to predict the BMW M4 LMGT3&rsquo;s performance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last year, the Belgian team started the race in P3. 
The #32 lies in ninth place and the #69 is 3rd in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Kessel Racing</h2>

#57 &ndash; Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Takeshi Kimura / Conrad Laursen / Daniel Serra 
#74 &ndash; Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Dustin Blattner / Lorenzo Patrese / Dennis Marschall

Swiss team Kessel Racing has taken part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans five times so far.&nbsp;They finished eighth in the LMGT3 class in last year&rsquo;s race. Takeshi Kimura and Daniel Serra were already in the driver line-up and are joined by Conrad Laursen this year. Kessel Racing is a European Le Mans Series competitor this season. The #57 was third at the 4 Hours of Barcelona and won the 4 Hours of Le Castellet. As winners of the GT class in the 2025-6 Asian Le Mans Series the #74 earned an invitation to compete at Le Mans.

<h2>Proton Competition</h2>

#77 &ndash; Ford Mustang LMGT3 &ndash; Eric Powell / Ben Tuck / Sebastian Priaulx 
#88 &ndash; Ford Mustang LMGT3 &ndash; Stefano Gattuso / Giammarco Levorato / Logan Sargeant

Ford is to return to the top class of endurance racing in 2027. In the meantime, the carmaker continues to glean experience in the LMGT3 class thanks to two Ford Mustangs entered by Proton Competition. The car enters a new development phase this year, its engineers having determined improvement areas to focus on to produce a stable, versatile, high-performance package. Two of the manufacturer&rsquo;s designated Hypercar drivers Sebastian Priaulx and ex-Formula One driver Logan Sargeant are at the wheel this year, to attune them to the demands of the gruelling race. 
The #77 lies in 14th place and the #88 is 11th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Racing Spirit Of L&eacute;man</h2>

#59 &ndash; Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 &ndash; Cl&eacute;ment Mateu / Marius Fossard / Valentin Hasse Clot

The French team is about to take on its second 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last year they finished in P13 in the LMGT3 class. 
Racing Spirit Of L&eacute;man is also a 2026 European Le Mans Series competitor and currently lies in 12th place in LMGT3.

<h2>Iron Lynx</h2>

#61 &ndash; Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 &ndash; Martin Berry / Rui Andrade / Maxime Martin

The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans saw the return of Mercedes after a 26-year absence. The #61 finished in 12th place. This year, the German is back and ready to take on the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans once more. The Mercedes-AMG has been a major player in the GT class for almost a decade, celebrating victories at the 24 Hours of Spa, N&uuml;rburgring and Daytona. Iron Lynx therefore has the right tool for the job. The Italian team is out in force with three cars in the running this year. 
The #15 lies in 15th and the #79 is in last place in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams. The #62 is entered under the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx banner and Giuliano Alesi, son of ex-Formula One driver Jean Alesi is in the driver crew.

<h2>Akkodis ASP Team</h2>

#78 &ndash; Lexus RC F LMGT3 &ndash; Tom Van Rompuy / Hadrien David / Jack Hawksworth 
#87 &ndash; Lexus RC F LMGT3 &ndash; Petru Umbrărescu / Clemens Schmid / Jos&eacute; Mar&iacute;a L&oacute;pez

This is J&eacute;r&ocirc;me Policand team&rsquo;s third 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Lexus RC F LMGT3. Last year the #87 finished P5 in LMGT3 while the #78 crashed out and was unable to rejoin the race. Add to Akkodis ASP Team&rsquo;s experience and in-depth knowledge of the Lexus two star drivers Hadrien David and Jos&eacute; Mar&iacute;a L&oacute;pez and you have a recipe for success. 22-year-old Hadrien David won Hyperpole at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Jos&eacute; Mar&iacute;a L&oacute;pez won the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota and the Argentine&rsquo;s vast experience can only be an advantage for the French team. 
The #87 lies in 10th place and the #78 is 16th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams.

<h2>Manthey DK Engineering/The Bend Manthey</h2>

#91 &ndash; Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 &ndash; James Cottingham / Timur Boguslavskiy / Ayhancan G&uuml;ven 
#92 &ndash; Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 &ndash; Yasser Shahin / Riccardo Pera / Richard Lietz

German outfit Manthey Racing has been responsible for the Porsche GT FIA WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans campaigns since 2023. The&nbsp;Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 scooped the Le Mans title in 2024 and 2025, and is therefore the car to beat. The #92 began the season with two third places, at the 6 Hours of Imola and the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Last year&rsquo;s winners Richard Lietz and Riccardo Pera share driving duties with Yasser Shasin this season. The #91 is in the hands of James Cottingham, Timur Boguslavskiy and 2025 DTM champion Ayhancan G&uuml;ven. 
It lies seventh in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams, led by the #92.

<h2>Richard Mille AF Corse</h2>

#150 &ndash; Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo &ndash; Custodio Toledo / Lilou Wadoux / Riccardo Agostini

With this fifth 296 LMGT3 Evo entry, Ferrari is the manufacturer with the most cars on the LMGT3 grid at this year&rsquo;s 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last year, the team finished 11th in LMGT3. A European Le Mans Series competitor this season, the team took fifth place at the 4 Hours of Barcelona. This will be Ferrari works driver Lilou Wadoux&rsquo;s fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans. Like last year, she shares the #150 with Brazilian Custodio Toledo and Italian Riccardo Agostini.

This year’s city centre procession on Saturday 6 June is going to be bigger and better than ever. Now in its fourth year, the procession organised by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest in conjunction with Le Mans city council has a revised route. The new route offers 12 vantage points for spectators and more chances to see the magnificent cars, which will complete three laps instead of two.

Nineteen of the 62 cars entered for the 94th 24 Hours Of Le Mans &mdash; Hypercar, LMP2s and LMGT3s &mdash; will parade through the streets of Le Mans at 3 p.m., accompanied by safety cars, a vintage car and a trophy car &mdash; some 30 vehicles in all.

<h2>The RACe COMES TO TOWN</h2>

Spectators will be able to admire the race cars in the hour-long procession and enjoy the accompanying festivities. The route is dotted with special viewing areas, each with a commentator. Screens on Quai Louis Blanc and Place de l&rsquo;Eperon will relay images. The procession will leave from avenue Paderborn, under orders from ACO Race Control. After three laps of the route, they will return to a parc ferm&eacute; set up on Place des Jacobins before being transported to the circuit.

As in previous years, it will not be possible to cross the road during the procession.

<h2>A fine-tuned set-up and a tribute to volunteers</h2>

More than 130 safety officers will line the route: 65 race marshals, 48 other volunteers and 21 security staff. Add to these 28 first responders and 6 emergency vehicles. After the procession, a tribute to the volunteers that make the event possible will take place on Place du Jet d&rsquo;Eau. The ceremony will include awards, a group photo and words of thanks from the ACO President and the major of Le Mans to the people who contribute to the 24 Hours of Le Mans beyond the circuit.

A new route, 12 vantage points, three laps: the city centre procession shifts up a gear

The 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026) will sport a new, improved Hyperpole set-up. Thanks to the new format, the chase for pole position promises even more suspense and intensity. The aim is simple – to make every lap count and the qualifying sessions even more exciting to watch.

Introduced in 2020, the 24 Hours of Le Mans Hyperpole quickly became a highlight of the pre-race sessions. In a short space of time, drivers and cars are pushed to their limits. This year sees a revised format, with two separate qualifying rounds and more cars in the final. The proceedings will be simpler to grasp, and no less thrilling.

<h2>A more intense 24 Hours of Le Mans Hyperpole</h2>

Since it was introduced, Hyperpole has produced some of the most emblematic images of Le Mans race week: a driver face to face with the clock, a car heading full pelt into the sunset, and spectators impatient to see who clinches pole position. The 2026 version will be even more intense.

The outcome remains to determine the position on the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting grid. However, the structure is changing to give more competitors a chance to take part in the Hyperpole session.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans Hyperpole will begin with two distinct qualifying (Q) sessions:

	<li>One for LMP2 and LMGT3 cars;</li>
	<li>One for Hypercars;</li>
	<li>
	Each session lasts at least 30 minutes.
	</li>
</ul>

The fastest 15 cars in each class earn a place in Hyperpole 1. That means three more LMP2 and LMGT3 cars now qualify for Hyperpole.

<h2>Hyperpole 1 and 2: building excitement</h2>

Hyperpole consists of two stages.

Hyperpole 1 (H1) for the 15 fastest cars in each class &ndash; one session for Hypercars, and another for the other two classes. The two 20-minute sessions will produce a ranking. 
Cars ranked 11 to 15 will take the corresponding place on the grid.

The top 10 go through to Hyperpole 2 (H2). Again, there will be two sessions, one for Hypercars and another for LMP2s and LMGT3s. Each session lasts 15 minutes. This means two more cars in each class will be able to compete for pole position compared to previous years. More competitors, a more uncertain outcome and more opportunity to make history.

<h2>An important change for LMP2 crews</h2>

Another major update concerns LMP2 driver crews.

From now on, during qualifying (Q) sessions, only the driver with the lowest FIA rating may take the wheel. The principle is already applied in LMGT3 where the bronze-rated driver must qualify the car is extended to LMP2.

The rule is in line with the fundamentals of endurance racing: at Le Mans, performance is a team effort. As such, every crew member has a turn in the limelight.

Another notable adjustment: in LMGT3, the rule stipulating that only a Silver driver can take the wheel in Hyperpole has been removed. This change gives teams more freedom in the distribution of roles.

Thanks to the new format, the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans Hyperpole is shaping up to be an even more spectacular prelude to the race.

24 Hours of Le Mans 2023

This year competitors have six hours in which to get familiar with the 13.626-kilometre track, get comfortable with their cars and adjust their settings before the race next weekend. They have several other opportunities to prepare during the practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

The United Autosports #22 Oreca 07-Gibson with Phil Hanson at the wheel was first out. Hanson shares the car with Filipe Albuquerque and Frederick Lubin.

Race regulations require drivers taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time (or who haven&#39;t taken part within the last five years) to complete at least ten laps of the course, including five timed laps.
