24 Hours of Le Mans – Cadillac unveils Hypercar liveries

Cadillac has revealed the liveries of its V-LMDh Hypercars set to participate in the FIA World Endurance Championship, 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary (10-11 June) and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The #2 Cadillac V-LMDh set to take part in the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship will boast a largely blue livery, a colour emblematic of the American marque's V-Series. Cadillac will also compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with two cars, the #01 fielded by Cadillac Racing and the #31 by Whelen Engineering.

The three cars share the same graphic theme and each will sport one of the main colours in the V-Series logo: the #01 in gold, the #2 in blue and the #31 in red. Designed jointly by Cadillac Racing, Cadillac Design and Dallara, the final look of the Cadillac V-LMDh was inspired by last summer's Project GTP Hypercar. It incorporates Cadillac-specific design cues such as overhead lighting and floating blades.

Lead exterior creative designer for Cadillac, Chris Mikalauskas: "From an aesthetic point of view, the LMDh regulations allowed us to create a vision for the car that is clearly Cadillac. And that's really exciting for fans and for people who are true enthusiasts, every car is unique."

Global Vice President of Cadillac, Rory Harvey: "Cadillac is ready to compete against the very best in North America and internationally, including one of the world’s toughest races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As Cadillac builds toward an all-electric future, the all-new V-LMDh furthers our dedication to exploring new advanced performance technologies."

The Cadillac V-LMDh will make its debut in competition at the Rolex 24 at Daytona kickoff of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Note in the FIA WEC, the #2 will be driven by Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and Richard Westbrook.
