24 Hours of Le Mans – Glickenhaus Racing continues 007 LMH shakedown

The American team is at Monza to continue development work on the 007 LMH that will compete in the new Hypercar class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Glickenhaus 007 LMH is back on track following inaugural testing at Vallelunga on 25-26 February. This time, the American team has headed to Monza for two more days of testing with drivers Romain Dumas, Pipo Derani and Ryan Briscoe taking the wheel. All partners involved in the programme – Joest Racing, Pipo Moteurs, Sauber and Podium Engineering – are in attendance.

With its long straights, Monza is the ideal venue for aero testing. Real-life data collected in coastdowns on the track can then be compared with wind tunnel data. The team will use the findings to adjust body height, the rear wing and the two flaps at the front of the car. They will then move on to pit stop practice to hone their routine with a view to the forthcoming races.

Two more double test days are scheduled back at Vallelunga on 11-12 and 14-15 March. Other drivers working on the programme will take part in these tests.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus took to Twitter to post snippets of the test sessions live from Monza.
