24 Hours of Le Mans – The Porsche GT Team liveries for the 911 RSR-19s

Porsche GT Team has unveiled the liveries for the 911 RSR-19s taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. The special colours are in honour of the 50th anniversary of the German manufacturer’s first win at Le Mans.

The red/white and black/white designs for the LMGTE Pro #91 and #92 resemble the ones the team’s cars sported at  the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans on 13 and 14 June. The bonnet and roof of both factory cars will brandish “1970” – the year Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann won the frst of Porsche’s 19 victories, with the legendary Porsche 917.
Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz and Frédéric Makowiecki‘s #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19 sports the same red design as the 917 that won in 1970, while the #92 driven by Michael Christensen, Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will be elegant in a black equivalent.

Eight Porsches are also on the LMGTE Am grid, entered by private teams.
The German manufacturer stands second in the FIA World Endurance Championship, 29 points behind Aston Martin and 24 ahead of Ferrari.
