Iron Lynx continues the Silver Arrows legacy at the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans

Iron Lynx has taken the wraps off the three Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s to compete in the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 10-14 June 2026. Three cars, three colour schemes, three personalities: one concept.

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, silver spells speed and slick machinery. For this year’s edition of the classic French race, Iron Lynx are reviving the Silver Arrows concept on their three Mercedes-AMGs fielded in the LMGT3 class. A bridge between heritage and modernity, the Italian team’s liveries present three versions of the same story. Each Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 has a distinctive identity, while remaining true to the Silver Arrows tradition.

Looking to hit the target at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The #61 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 of Martin Berry, Rui Andrade and Mercedes-AMG factory driver Maxime Martin has a bold black rear. The #79, in the hands of Johannes Zelger, Matteo Cressoni and Lin Hodenius, brings vibrancy with splashes of yellow. Finally, the #62, which joins the first two full season WEC competitors for Le Mans, bears the colours of Qatar, a milestone in the partnership between Iron Lynx and the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation established for the European Le Mans Series. Abdulla Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses and Giuliano Alesi will take the wheel of the third car.

"It’s a great pleasure for us to bring the Silver Arrows back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the second consecutive year”, says Andrea Piccini, Team Principal & CEO of Iron Lynx. “I particularly enjoyed that we are doing it by featuring three distinct and unique personalities. We are also delighted to partner with Team Qatar as they take part for the first time in this legendary race. The first time at Le Mans is always unique and I really hope it will be an unforgettable experience."

Stefan Wendl – Head of Customer Racing, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport: "I am very pleased to see three Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 cars once again on the grid for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. Our thanks go to Team Qatar and our Customer Racing Team Iron Lynx for making this additional entry possible. Continuing the story of the Silver Arrows in 2026 through the liveries of all three cars, following our debut last year, underlines the special significance this race holds within our motorsport heritage. Building on the experience gained last year, we now aim to confirm our sporting progress with a strong result at the endurance classic in Le Mans."

That’s the essence of the 24 Hours of Le Mans: keeping a tradition relevant, heading for a destiny, yet living the present moment. The past, present and future on track together.
