On December 10, 1901, five years to the day after the death of Alfred Nobel, the first Nobel Prizes were awarded at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. On June 11, 1989, Stanley Dickens became the first Swede to win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in a Sauber C9.
